5. Placement of implant supported dentures

The procedure takes place in the dentist’s office, the dentist working in close cooperation with the lab technician.

The procedure takes place in the dentist’s office, the dentist working in close cooperation with the lab technician. Usually there is no need in anesthesia (apart from the implant exposure procedure)

The main steps are as follows:

- the implant is exposed by removing some of the overlying gum

- dental impressions are made and the denture is fabricated

- the denture is placed on the implants in order to restore the appearance and the mastication functions

- the patient receives from the dentists recommendations and instructions concerning the correct use and maintenance care of the implant supported dentures.
