Bone augmentation

Implantation requires a sufficient quantity (both in width and in height) of the bone for the implant to guarantee a stable support for the permanent dental prosthesis. Natural tooth roots or implants maintain blood supply to the jawbone and also stimulate bone health through the masticatory forces. Lack of stimulation to the jawbone during a long period of time causes bone loss, decrease in bone density and shrinkage of the jawbone. If the preliminary examinations show that the quantity of available bone is insufficient for implantation, it is possible to implement different methods of bone augmentation.

It is often possible to perform bone augmentation treatment and implant treatment simultaneously, so there is no need for several surgical interventions.
